Three teams added to European Champions Cup participants' list

Ancient, FORZE and Tricked have all received invites to the European event, the organisers have announced.

The invited trio increases the team count to twelve for the online event, with an additional four invites to be revealed in the near future.

Ancient are currently settled just outside of the top-30 following mixed results in the last two months, with the Swedish lineup finishing runners-up at DreamHack Open Summer, in addition to ending their Major qualifying run at the bottom of the Europe Minor. The Swedes will attend the event with Andreas "⁠MODDII⁠" Fridh, who has joined the team on trial.

FORZE currently sit at 21st in the rankings after a series of top placings in recent events. The Russian side qualified for one of two spots at the BLAST Pro Series Moscow Play-In, as well as topping the CIS Minor to secure their place in the StarLadder Major Main Qualifier, which is set to kick off on Friday.

Completing the invited trio is Tricked, who have most recently placed runners-up in Good Games League and made it to the grand final of UCC Summer Smash, where they will face off against Illuminar.

The six-stage online event will be played from mid-September to November, where $60,000 and four spots at the LAN finals in Malta will be up for grabs.
